Supplements only help if the product is the same from bottle to bottle. We favor brands that are transparent about sourcing, manufacturing standards, and testing. One of the clearest signals we look for is membership in the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) and the presence of the NASC Quality Seal. That seal has quickly become the industry standard for quality in pet supplements — it means the company follows strict guidelines for labeling, ingredient quality, manufacturing practices, and adverse-event reporting. Products that carry the seal give us more confidence that what’s on the label is what’s actually in the bottle. Brands that frequently change formulas without explanation or that have a history of quality complaints get passed over.
